Fibres form a major component of roughage in our body. They help in eliminating the waste effectively. They help in effective digestion and prevent deposition of any unhealthy fat in your body thus keeping your body in optimal body composition range.
Vegetables like lentils(beans), bottle guard, ridge guard, bitter guard, radish, beetroot ,carrots ,green leafy vegetables and fruits like banana, papaya ,apple etc. which can be consumed along with their skin have rich component of fibre in them and should be a part of your daily diet. 
Including more fiber in your child's diet helps them keep concerns like constipation at bay. Fibre rich food also prevents acid reflux or bloating that usually happen when they are introduced to new foods.
