EXERCISE - THE WAY TO KEEP FIT

The first pillar of Optimal Health is Exercise (E).

When I talk about exercise they are many different ways in which you can do activities to benefit your health. The first one being Cardio/Aerobic exercises, the fancy name doesn’t much remind of all the activities we did as children earlier! Much to your surprise most of the games we played in school fall under this category..

To mention a few, Cricket, Badminton, Kho-Kho, Football, Volleyball, Kabaddi, High Jump, Long Jump, Swimming, Running, Cycling, Trekking… and the list goes on. All these activities increase your heartbeat and pump more oxygen to your heart and other parts of the body.. Hence the name Cardio(Heart) or Aerobic(Oxygen building) exercises.. This intense pumping of heart is a gym to your cardiac muscles !!

As parents, now our persuit to achieve higher goals, we tend to ignore our health.These activities can be very rejuvenating when done with family. Your children would love to go for a weekend trek to a nearby hillock with u.. Just make up your mind and play with your children.. I’m sure these cardio exercises will bring back the excited child in you and encourage your children to be active always too!!

These activities will lay a strong foundation for your child to grow up as an active adult rather than a sedentary one.
