We all know that water is an essential part of our life and without which our nutrition is incomplete. 70% to 80% of our body is made of water. Our blood stream has 90% water. All our biological processes happen efficiently in the presence of this wonder solvent.
 It is very essential to help your child develop the habit of consuming good amount of water on a daily basis .Children have enough water when they are physically exhausted and that majorly fulfils their water requirement for the day. 
 It is essential to say that when your child is sick it is important to make sure that water consumption is optimum. During sickness, dehydration washes away the essential salts and minerals from your child's body. Which is why it is important to include more water in the form of  tender coconut and juices from fruits like sweet lime and oranges. Semi solid foods like dal khichdi are also good options. ORS like electral can be given in case of severe dehydration. 
Follow these tips to maximise the benefits of drinking water:
Drink water 40 minutes before and after your meal. This makes digestion better. 
As an adult, consuming 8 to 10 glasses of liquid intake  on a daily basis as adults is a must. Milk, Buttermilk, Tender Coconut, Juices ,Beverages and water rich fruits and veggies can be included.
Water helps to wash away toxins from your body and keep your skin glowing.
