The festival of Onam is celebrated to honour the kind hearted demon King Mahabali, who is believed to return to Kerala for 10 days. Pookalam or flower rangoli is made along with variety of dishes to show respect to the king. We can see various schools imparting the importance of Onam to their students in various ways.
